Advanced Electrolysis

Removing a mole by advanced electrolysis is a nearly painless procedure and takes between 10 and 20 minutes. There will be little to no scarring.
Moles can be embarrassing, a nuisance when applying makeup, shaving and even catch on clothing and jewelry. Some moles will require repeat treatments to permanently stop the re-growth from the hair follicle.

Treating facial thread veins (Telangiectasia)
This superficial blood condition appears as visible small thin veins that lie just beneath the surface of the skin. They occur on the face and body and can build up over many years or appear due to sudden damage.
Treatment by advanced electrolysis instantly coagulates or mops up the trapped blood as the heat works though the vein. The vein is cauterised at both ends preventing it refilling, making this treatment highly successful. There will be no scar or bruising like with some treatments.
Spider Naevus
Spider Naevus are superficial dilated blood vessels under the skin commonly found in clusters on the cheeks and chest. Several small blood capillaries come from the body of the Naevus like spiders legs hence the name. Direct heat from advanced electrolysis will coagulate the trapped blood instantly and it will fade away.
Red Veins
Red veins are normal blood capillaries that have swelled with blood and become more visible. They are commonly found around the nose and on the legs. Nose and facial veins are best treated with advanced electrolysis and leg veins are more suitably treated with Sclerotherapy.

How Many Electrolysis Treatments Will I Need?
Since many factors influence hair growth, you will need to return for several electrolysis visits. The total number of sessions needed to remove hair permanently from a particular area will vary from person to person. Most clients return once a week or every other week, as necessary. But the unwanted hair will be gone forever once the series of treatments have been completed. Each treatment lasts between 15 minutes and one hour.

Before Your Appointment
- Shave and Exfoliate the night before or day of your tan.
- Do not have lotion or oily residue on your skin the day of your tan. Remove makeup and deodorants prior to your tan.
- Make sure to get manicures, pedicures, or spa treatments before your appointment, and arrive for your tan without any oily residue or lotion on your skin.
- Bring your swimsuit, underwear, or other garments to wear during your session. Your garments will get spray on them, so please wear items that you do not mind getting bronzer on. Many of our clients choose to tan topless to minimize tan lines. Our staff is professional and discreet, and will do everything we can to make you feel comfortable during your session.
- Be sure to bring loose fitting, darker colored clothing and flip-flops to wear after your session. Tight clothing can rub off the bronzer and create streaking.
Skin Needling/Dermal Rolling
The latest alternative to laser resurfacing!! This technique preserves the integrity of the skin as it stimulates collagen deposition in the dermis and thickens it, creating a smooth complexion. It also improves dilated blood vessels and can greatly improve acne scarring and other forms of scars. No “down time” is essentially required since the healing time is rapid. There is no sun sensitivity to the treatment, but a 30 SPF daily application is always recommended.
The skin is first locally anesthetized with a topical anesthetic. Once the skin is numbed, a needling instrument abrades the wrinkled area. This technique is effective because the needle breaks up old collagen strands that are tethering the indented wrinkle. The needle thrusts create collagen immediately under the epidermis. The needle only penetrates through the epidermis and does not remove it, allowing it to heal rapidly. As the skin swells, the needle pricks fuse and the edges of the epidermis begin to adhere. The procedure stimulates the upper area of the skin. This promotes the rePen producing cells (fibroblasts) and the release of growth factors to form at the puncture site, where the wrinkle was treated. Growth factors augment collagen deposition and maturation. Ultimately, collagen is laid down and “fills" the wrinkle within 6 months. The process may mimic the results obtained with a laser, but without destroying the outer skin (epidermis). The skin reddens and swells immediately after the treatment. By day 4 to 5, the skin returns to a moderate pink flush which is usually easily covered with make-up and the swelling decreases.
Collagen and elastin will continuously build and the skin will gradually
tighten up. The process should be done 3 times, every 2 months during the 6 month treatment period. The treatment should not be repeated until the epidermis has completely healed. A complete cycle of healing usually occurs within 1 month. This treatment is not for darker pigmented skin, as it could cause discoloration or hyperpigmentation. Other contraindications include: diabetics, those with the herpes simplex virus or cold sore breakouts, STDs, and those that experience keloid scarring.
